Is ‘Wish’ Streaming On Disney+ Or Netflix?

From the creators of Frozen comes Wish — Disney’s latest musical fantasy to hit theaters. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new animated flick!

Featuring voiceovers from Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine, and Evan Peters, Wish follows 17-year-old Asha, who makes a plea to the stars after sensing evil in her kingdom’s ruler. As a result, she’s granted a star from the sky, which helps her take on the powerful king.

So where can you watch Wish? Is it on Disney+? What about Netflix?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH WISH:

As of now, the only way to watch Wish is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Wednesday, Nov. 22. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube, and Amazon, or becomes available to stream on Disney+. Read on for more information.

WILL WISH BE ON DISNEY PLUS?

While a streaming release date for Wish has not yet been announced, we can make an educated guess on when the film will come to Disney+. Though there’s no set pattern, many Disney movies stream close to 45 days after their theatrical release, usually on the Friday after. If that’s the case, Wish could be streaming on Disney+ as early as Jan. 5, 2024.

However, other movies like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania were released on Disney+ about 90 days after their theatrical debut. If Wish follows the same trajectory, it may not join the streaming platform until late February 2024.

WILL WISH BE ON NETFLIX?

No, Wish will likely not be on Netflix since it will go straight to Disney+ after its theatrical run.
