Three months after that, I went back to him and said, Grandpa you were right, Fidel Castro is a Communist and my child is not going to be raised under that regime. After eleven months total we came back to America.

In order to purchase the air line tickets, they wanted to get paid with American currency instead of Cuban. I argued: Where am I going to get American currency if we have been in Cuba for the last 11 months? If you delay my trip we will lose the residency in America. They accepted and sold me the tickets. This incident proved the conditions Cuba was beginning to have. With two suitcases for the clothes of the three members of the family, one pair of shoes and over $ 300.00 borrowed from my father we returned to this Wonderful Country. I got back the job I left before my trip to Cuba. My shoes had two holes, problem that I solved by inserting cardboard inside of them, with that condition for some time, trying to pay back my father, He found that out and the $ 50.00 I owed him , he allowed me to keep the money and buy some shoes.

My father, even though he and my mother were divorced at my early age of 2 years, ( please, no offense intended) was the best father on planet earth. He helped not only me and my sister , but everyone he could.

Between the years 1960, the year I came back from Cuba and 1990, working hard, going to school, etc. my assets were between 4 and 5 million dollars, with a factory 32,000 sq ft. an average of 45 employees at 315 Oser Ave., Hauppauge, Long Island, NY 11788 and a branch factor on 14 Sunshine Blvd. Ormond Beach, FL
