The Golden Bachelor left fans hanging for a week after Gerry Turner broke down in tears in the middle of his post-Hometown Date rose ceremony. But tonight? Bachelor Nation finally knows who got the rose.

After seven days of wondering whether Faith Martin or Theresa Nist were headed to Fantasy Suites alongside contestant Leslie Fhima, we finally have answers. Once Gerry Turner reunited with 13 fan-favorite contestants during the “Women Tell All” portion of the episode, host Jesse Palmer took us back to the emotional rose ceremony, where Gerry made his toughest elimination yet.

Before the night ended his third runner-up took the stage, shared her feelings about the devastating breakup, and got a chance to reunite with Gerry for the first time since saying goodbye. So who got a rose? Who went home on The Golden Bachelor tonight? And who are Gerry Turner’s final two women?

Decider’s Golden Bachelor recap has all the answers.

The Golden Bachelor Recap: Who Went Home After Hometown Week? Faith Martin Or Theresa Nist?

After April, Christina, Edith, Ellen, Joan, Kathy, Marina, Nancy, Natascha, Pamela, Patty, Sandra, and Susan reminisced about their Golden Bachelor journey during “The Women Tell” portion of the episode, Bachelor Nation watched the continuation of the emotional Hometown Week rose ceremony.

For those who need a refresher, we picked up right where we left off. Gerry had just given his first of two roses to Leslie Fhima, and after picking up his second rose and putting it down again, he excused himself and left the room in tears. After leaving Gerry to cry and swear alone for a bit, Jesse Palmer went to check on him and asked, “Do you know what you want to do?”

“I know what I want to do,” Gerry replied. “I just don’t want to do it.”

While Gerry was deliberating in the mansion, The Golden Bachelor played confessionals of Faith, which seemingly foreshadowed her elimination. “When Gerry told me that he loved me and I told him I loved him, that made me feel on top of the world. I’m scared what I could lose if it didn’t work out, you know? It would be really hard,” she told the cameras. “I’m scared what I could lose if it didn’t work out, you know? It would be really hard. I just don’t stop loving someone that I loved.”

Though he was visibly torn, Gerry returned to the women and said, “I’m sorry ladies. This is really tough.” Then, despite my impassioned pleas for him to give Faith the rose, he called Theresa’s name, asked if she would accept the stem, and she replied, “With all my heart.” So there you have it, folks! Gerry’s final two women are Theresa and Leslie.

Gerry walked Faith out and explained that meeting her family and seeing her in her element at home made his decision so much harder. She admitted that she saw hope in both of her sons eyes and felt they wouldn’t worry about her so much if she found love with Gerry. And she broke down crying in the car, telling cameras, “Right now I’m numb. It’s gonna be a while before I figure it — if I ever figure it out.”

“Maybe it was just all in my own head,” she wondered. “I don’t know. I felt like we connected on a level where I was ready to marry the dude, you know? I wanted so much more for me. And I wanted so much more for my kids — for them to see me have that. Maybe it’s just not in the cards for me.” After such an intense run, Gerry and Faith’s speedy goodbye ultimately left me wanting more. Luckily, “The Women Tell All” special delivered.

Faith And Gerry’s Golden Bachelor Reunion

When Faith joined Jesse Palmer on stage during the “Women Tell All” special, her fellow contestants cheered her on in support. “It’s hard. I’m not gonna lie. Where do I begin? It’s gut-wrenching,” she told viewers. “It’s hard because for the past 20 years I didn’t really open myself up to love, so going into this, I thought, ‘OK. If I feel anything at all I’m going to go all in. And it shattered me.”

After The Golden Bachelor host admitted that even he was shocked by her elimination, Faith shared that in the moment, the thing at the top of her mind was her family. “I thought, ‘Oh my god, they’re gonna be so sad for me. I can not let them be heartbroken,'” she explained. “It hurt because that connection that I had was just gone in an instant. I’m thinking how did we go from up here to literally nothing?”

Faith revealed that she and Gerry hadn’t had any contact since that night at the mansion, and when he joined her on stage the two spent quite a while embracing and sobbing in each other’s arms. “From Day 1 what I had felt that connection, that safe place, but when I looked up that day when you walked me out, it was like I was looking at a stranger. So I felt like that complete disconnect and that was the most devastating thing to me,” Faith told Gerry. “We went from Hometowns — and the way we left each other was so great — and to just have it be nothing… You could have walked off with me right then and I would have been yours for the rest of my life. I felt that safe. And I’ve never felt that way.”

“It wasn’t it was not nothing,” Gerry assured her. “Believe me, I have thought about that night and those moments where I had told you that I loved you, and in those moments I did. I genuinely loved you. I felt like I had built and created something along with you only to destroy it in a brief moment.”

As Decider pointed out in a previous piece, Gerry made it a point to not only tell Faith he loved her first, but to do so in front of her entire family. He barely addressed how much weight his words and actions on their Hometown Date carried when saying goodbye to Faith outside of the mansion, but he was sure to address the major misstep during their reunion.

“My heart went out to you that night, and I think that was the saddest part and I wasn’t able to express that to you… You want to know what makes me feel the worst? I promised your family something and I broke that promise. That’s so awful,” he said. “I promised them I would protect your heart and I didn’t do that.”

Faith assured Gerry that she never felt he deceived her or purposefully broke her heart, and Gerry told her he’s a better person for having met her. Aww!

Ultimately, the two ended the evening on a positive note. And who knows, maybe Faith can get another shot at love on The Golden Bachelorette, a currently non-existent spinoff that we desperately need ABC to announce.

Until then, new episodes of The Golden Bachelor air Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC with next-day streaming on Hulu.
