Good Burger 2 star Kel Mitchell has opened up about his recent hospitalization, providing his fans with details on what happened.

The Nickelodeon veteran posted a video to Instagram explaining what he was going through that led him to seek emergency medical care.

“For those curious about recent events and my well-being, appreciate the concern and sending love your way. This should bring some clarity,” he captioned the post.

In the video, Mitchell says, “I was out shopping when suddenly the whole room started spinning. So I was like, ‘I must be dehydrated so I need to go get some water, some food.’ When I did that, the whole right side of my arm was numb, followed by me not being able to swallow. That’s when I panicked. And so I drove myself to the hospital.”

The actor, who joins Kenan Thompson in a sequel to their 1997 comedy out November 22 on Paramount+, said the hospital performed studies on him and he failed an “arm and a leg test.”

“I could not move my right arm,” he said. Doctors then ordered a CT scan which revealed Mitchell’s issue.

“It was actually a bulging disc that I had from a prior injury that was pressing up against a nerve, mimicking all those symptoms that I was going through,” he said. “I’m thanking God that I am good. Thank y’all for all the prayers in the comments. Even the crazy ones. I saw the, ‘Give him some orange soda in his IV.’”

The orange soda reference is of course a nod to his character Ed, who would often share the following dialogue with Kenan’s Dexter Reed:

Kenan: “Who loves orange soda?”
Kel: “K-K-Kel loves orange soda.”
Kenan: “Is it true? Is it TRUUUUE?”
Kel: “MMMHHMMM! I do, I do, I do-oooh!”

Watch the clip below for some nostalgia and let’s hope we get to hear those famous words in the upcoming movie.
