Blue Bloods Season 14 will mark the end of the hit CBS series.

Deadline reports the cop drama will be ending with a two-part season that will air in the spring and fall of 2024. The show will be getting an extended season so it can have a proper send-off, much like Young Sheldon, which will also be leaving the network in 2024.

The series focused on multiple generations of a family who work in law enforcement. Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, and Bridget Moynahan all star in the hit CBS drama that has become a primetime staple for the network.

Selleck, who played the patriarch of the Reagan family for all 13 seasons of the show, released a statement addressing the show’s finale.

“For the past 13 years it has been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also displayed the importance of family,” Selleck said, per Deadline. “Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors and crew has been a dream come true.”

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, released a joint statement announcing the ned of the series.

Blue Bloods will forever be a beloved part of CBS’s legacy. It ruled Friday nights with unprecedented dominance since its premiere and established itself as a pillar of our winning lineup with an exceptionally devoted fan base,” they said.

Deadline reported that the series was renewed back in March following tense negotiations that resulted in severe budget cuts that also impacted the actors. When the writers began working on Season 14 after the WGA strike, they reportedly began shaping the new season as if it were the last.

The outlet notes that the decision to end the show came after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended.

Blue Bloods Season 14 premieres on CBS on Feb. 16. The first 10 episodes of the season will air that spring, while the final eight will broadcast later on in the fall.

New episodes will stream live on Paramount+.
