Does ‘The Marvels’ Have An End Credits Scene?

You’re watching a Marvel movie, so you know what that means: end credits scene, baby? Except for the last few movies and TV shows, the consistency of the classic Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) end credits scene has been spotty, at best.

Good news: it’s back with The Marvels, now in theaters. There’s not only a mid-credits scene that changes the MCU in big ways, but there’s also a little something extra at the end of the credits. Maybe not enough to stick through the whole thing, but it is fun.

So let’s get into it… Here’s what you need to know about The Marvels mid-credit scene and end-credit… Bonus? Audio? Whatever.

Does The Marvels Have A Mid-Credits Scene?

I mean I just said it does, so yes, it does. After the main credits of the movie, we cut to — and I don’t even need to say spoilers past this point, right? — Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) trapped in another universe. She saved the galaxy by sealing a jump point… You know what, it doesn’t matter. Short version, she is no longer in the main MCU.

She wakes up in a hospital bed, and next to her is none other than her mother, Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch). Maria, however, doesn’t recognize her. Not only that, she’s wearing the costume of Binary, a version of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) from the comics. She stands up, and we very rapidly discover where we are: we’re in the X-Men universe.

Not only that, but we’re greeted by an awful, CGI version of Beast, voiced by none other than Frasier‘s Kelsey “Country” Grammer himself, reprising his role from X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Beast explains that Monica is in another universe, something we already knew. Maria stands next to a large metal door with an “X” on it in case we didn’t get what is happening, and asks who Monica is. “Ah, shit,” says Monica and we cut back to the credits.

The X-Men are here, baby! Yeah, baby, yeah! Shwing! A sphincter says “what?”

Does The Marvels Have a Post-Credits Scene?

In case you’re wondering whether Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) shows up later in the movie, he does not. There’s no further scene at the end of The Marvels. However, there is some audio right at the end of the credits of a Flerken, the movie’s race of alien cats, barfing. That’s pretty much it! Enjoy the rest of your evening!

The Marvels is now in theaters everywhere.
