Brady Bunch star Barry Williams pulled out all the stops during Tuesday’s (Nov. 14) episode of Dancing With The Stars, where he faced off against singer Jason Mraz for Whitney Houston Night.

After performing their solo dances, each couple competed side-by-side on stage in a dance-off set to some of Houston’s greatest hits. Mraz and Williams performed their own salsa routines to Houston’s “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay,” and the crowd was extra loud for Williams.

Williams and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, certainly brought the energy for their performance. Their salsa routine showed Williams aggressively shaking his hips before he passionately ripped his shirt off, drawing cheers from the crowd.

The show-stopping move was enough to crown them the winners of the dance challenge, which Williams later celebrated by taking his shirt off yet again.

The actor has become an audience favorite during his run on Dancing With The Stars, but that unfortunately wasn’t enough to save him and Murgatroyd from elimination.

Fans at home were disappointed to see Williams eliminated so soon.

One fan wrote, “Outing myself as a Brady Bunch (and Dancing with the Stars) fan to say that I cannot believe y’all saved Harry [Jowsey] over national treasure Barry Williams. Barry danced circles around Harry. That elimination was sick and twisted.”

Others were just as devastated, with one commenting, “Barry Williams getting eliminated from dwts after giving his heart and soul to that dance off …. there aren’t words.”

Other audience favorites are faring well on the show, however.

Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy managed to recover after last week’s disappointment by earning their first perfect score of the season.

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov continue their reign over the season. They were exempt from competing in the dance-off and sat at the top of the leaderboard with 42 points.
