After a rather impressive performance on American Horror Story: Delicate, Kim Kardashian set her sights on her next acting gig.

The reality star is rumored to be spearheading a female-led comedy titled The 5th Wheel, which was written by Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell and her wife, One Day At A Time writer Janine Brito.

The project will reportedly be a “female-driven comedy,” per Deadline, which reports Kardashian is set to star in and co-produce the movie with Pell.

The outlet reports that she was “very hands on” in pitching the project to studios and was present at “each meeting to deliver the pitch.”

And it looks like everyone is scrambling to work with Kardashian — The 5th Wheel has already received bids from five studios, Deadline reports.

This will not be Kardashian’s first foray into acting. She recently made her live-action debut on Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Delicate, playing the publicist to Emma Roberts‘ starlet. Prior to that, she voiced a character in two Paw Patrol movies.

Pell wrote for Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2020, during which she also wrote for the Oscars and 30 Rock, amongst other projects. She also wrote the 2015 comedy Sisters, starring Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

She and Brito also starred in the 2019 ensemble comedy Wine Country. Brito is best known for working on One Day At A Time, Bless the Harts and Mr. Mayor.

Development for The 5th Wheel are still in the early stages.

For now, Kardashian fans can catch the reality star in the new season of American Horror Story — which will release its second batch of episodes in 2024 — and her family’s eponymous series, The Kardashians.

Both series are streaming on Hulu.
