In an alternate reality, The Golden Bachelor‘s first season could have ended with a new uncle for comedian and late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.

The highly-anticipated Bachelor spinoff, which stars a group of senior women looking for love with 72-year-old stud Gerry Turner, premiered on ABC September 28. And a surprise, super-spirited guest crashed Turner’s first night at the mansion: Jimmy Kimmel’s Aunt Chippy.

After Turner met the majority of his 22 women in front of the mansion on Night 1, a limo pulled up holding one special guest. “Are we there? I’ll see you in hell,” Aunt Chippy’s distinct voice wailed before she emerged from the car. In a sparkly green shirt, black pants, and black flats, she stepped onto the famous driveway and asked the driver, “Are you coming with me? Am I going myself?” before strutting up to Ger Ber.

“Are you the unluckiest guy in the world?!” the 84-year-old screamed when she reached Turner. “No I am not,” he replied with a laugh. The two exchanged pleasantries for a moment, but Aunt Chippy cut right to the chase. “You must be lying about your age! I was curious. I said to my nephew, ‘He’s gotta be one in million. I want to meet him.’ He said, ‘OK you got it.'” Turner asked who her nephew is, and she spilled. Turner, delighted, laughed and gave her a hug. But in an interview with Decider he admitted he was confused when the hilarious force first arrived.

“When she got out of the limo, I didn’t know what to do,” Turner told Decider. “I was kind of frozen. It’s like, ‘Is this a skit that somebody is going to work? Or is it legitimate? Or just what?’ And just about the time that I was going to start to walk towards her, I realized who it was. So that kind of got me off the hook.”

Any fan of Kimmel’s will recognize Aunt Chippy from her appearances on his late-night show over the years. She’s often the subject of his classic pranks, like this fake cigarette gum commercial, a Jury Duty-level stunt at her pottery class, and an elaborately staged sonogram. Chippy, whose full name is Concetta Potenza, is so famous that she even has her own ABC bio, which says she was born in Brooklyn, New York, and for 28 years she “was married to Frank Potenza, who worked as a security guard and was an on-camera talent for Jimmy Kimmel Live.” The two divorced in the mid-’90s, which explains her interest in Gerry Turner.

Chippy may have been on The Golden Bachelor for the wrong reasons, but her screen-time didn’t stop at the limo reveal. She went inside and met her competition, saying, “This ain’t no 80-year-old club, that’s for sure. Let me tell you something. I don’t belong here. Those ladies are really something. I’m in the wrong place.”

Though Chippy was absent for the majority of the episode, we caught a glimpse of her snoozing on the couch mid-way through, and a hilarious end-credits scene showed host Jesse Palmer waking her up from her nap.

After Palmer gently got a snoring Chippy’s attention, she asked if she got a rose and he told her she slept through the ceremony. “Can I at least get a petal?” she asked. “All the stems and all the petals have been handed out,” he replied. To that, she simply said, “asshole.”

“Alright. I’m gonna go,” Chippy said. Before she left, Palmer asked if she had a good night, and her final words to close out the premiere were, ” I did. I’m gonna take the couch home with me.” Aunt Chippy for Golden Bachelorette, please!
