Chelsea Meissner has welcomed her first baby! The former Southern Charm star, who first publicly revealed that she was pregnant on Instagram in April, subtly revealed that she’s given birth to her first child via a now-expired Instagram story posted on Thursday (Oct. 19), per The Messenger.
“I am one month postpartum and one thing that I really wanted to try to stay on top of was my hair health,” she wrote. “I’m a hairstylist so I have seen it all, and I really wanted to make sure that I got on some kind of daily routine to make sure that I didn’t have a whole lot of thinning [or] shedding.”
Meissner’s April pregnancy reveal featured a video of her ultrasound with the words “Arriving September 2023” written over it.
While Meissner has yet to reveal the father of her child or any additional information about her newborn, she shared two more Instagram posts in July related to her pregnancy. Both featured pictures of Meissner showing off her baby belly on the beach in a bikini.
“My BabyCenter App just informed me that the baby is now the size of a jicama and I may start experiencing ‘lightning crotch,'” she captioned the first post. “Also, here are some photos I swore I would never take.”
The second post was a continuation of the first with more pictures, which she captioned, “Here’s to 32 weeks and learning to embrace my thighs meeting each other for the first time!”
Meissner, who first appeared on the hit Bravo reality series in its third season, exited the show just prior to Season 7. In 2020, a source told People that she and fellow Southern Charm alum Naomie Olindo were “just tired of the reality TV drama.” Prior to that, Meissner earned third place on Season 24 of Survivor in 2012, per Us Weekly.
Southern Charm just launched its ninth season, and airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream on Peacock the following day.
