If you had asked us two years ago who we thought would be in the hot seat at the Southern Charm reunion, we never would’ve thought it would be Taylor Ann Green. But one makeout with Austen Kroll and an unsolicited nude photo to Whitney Sudler-Smith later and here we are.

At last year’s Season 8 reunion, Green was running high on emotions following her recent breakup with Charleston’s resident playboy Shep Rose. There was a lot of crying — and a lot of accusations that he only used her to “masturbate.” This year, however, Green — who knows she’ll have a lot to answer to — is feeling much more grounded.

When we asked Green and Leva Bonaparte how they were feeling about the upcoming reunion, the latter understandably let her friend have the floor.

“Honestly, I definitely have a better head on my shoulders than I did last year,” Green told Decider at BravoCon on Friday (Nov. 3). “I kept on saying I knew where I needed to be. We were doing interviews last year together for BravoCon and it was right after the reunion. I was like, ‘I just need to ground myself.'”

She continued, “I knew where I needed to be. I couldn’t get myself there. I think I’ve finally been able to get myself there. I’m feeling OK. I’m still breathing.”

The drama this season largely focuses on Green, who has been lashing out in the wake of her breakup. For one, she confessed to kissing Kroll — who is not only one of Rose’s good friends, but also used to date her best friend Olivia Flowers. The reality star was also exposed for sending a nude photo to Sudler-Smith, prompting Madison LeCroy to call her out at a cast dinner party.

Aside from the tension between Green and her fellow castmates, the boys have also been dabbling in their fair share of drama. As of the latest episode, newbies Rod Razavi and JT Thomas were forging the anti-Kroll battalion after Flowers left her bra in his house — even though she’s been casually seeing Razavi.

With all the cracks in the friend group coming to the surface, Bonaparte is hoping these Charmers can work things out at the Season 9 reunion.

“I would like to see some level of resolve,” she said. “I feel like there’s just a lot of hurt in the group right now. Like we said, the bus comes for everyone. The ones that had a lot of hurt other years are kind of sitting back. So I would like to see our friend group heal to a certain extent. Whatever’s possible.”

Southern Charm airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
