‘Southern Charm’ Star Shep Rose Revealed At BravoCon That He Once Got “Buffered” By Taylor Swift In London

While many Bravolebrities documented their trips to see Taylor Swift during her Eras Tour, Southern Charm star Shep Rose was not one of them. During Day 3 of the Bravoverse Live Stage shows at BravoCon, the stars aligned and put Rose on a panel with Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz, Summer House star Carl Radke, and Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard star Amir Lancaster to dish on what’s it like to be one of the boys on Bravo. The topics of conversation ranged from gambling, Rose’s crush RHONY star Brynn Whitfield, foot fetishes, shirtless dancing, and pot-stirring. When moderator Daryn Carp asked Schwartz about being a Swiftie, Rose just had to cut in with a personal story.

Yes, out of all the Bravolebrities at BravoCon, it is the Charleston lothario who once had an up close up and personal encounter with T-Swizzle and her then-boyfriend, actor/collaborator Joe Alwyn, in London. It was at an after afterparty for a Foo Fighters concert. Rose launched into his story, captivating the crowd. While he was partying and drinking with his pals, he reported that “all of a sudden, Taylor Swift walked in.” Rose felt very confident in approaching the pop super star and her then significant other because, as he explained: “I went to Vanderbilt Business School [in Tennessee] and had actually run into Taylor Swift in Nashville when she was a baby.”

“I started to talk to her about Nashville and restaurants,” remembered Rose. During the conversation, Rose looked at her then-boyfriend and asked, “who’s this?” Swift replied that Alwyn was her “boyfriend” and an actor. Naturally curious, Rose asked Alwyn, “what have I seen you in?” “And they both looked at each other like, ‘nothing you’d know,'” recalled Rose with a laugh.

Rose then “turned to talk to other people” and when he turned back to Taylor, a stranger stood in her place. Rose soon found out that Swift hires people ”to sit in between her and someone who is annoying her.” When he realized he was that annoying person, Rose’s reaction was classic: “I was like, ‘ew, who are you?'” At this point, Schwartz jumped in and told Rose, “You got buffered!” Good natured as always, Rose just laughed it off and insisted it wasn’t that serious. He still thinks that “Taylor’s very sweet,” but admits that the buffering is something else. We have to say, we agree!
