Kathryn Dennis may not be on Bravo anymore — but that doesn’t mean the Southern Charm cast has cut her off. During an audience Q&A at the show’s BravoCon panel today, a fan wondered whether the group has been in touch with the ex-reality star since her car was involved in an alleged hit-and-run.

Last month, a vehicle registered under Dennis’ name hit a Berkeley County deputy, who was directing traffic in front of Whitesville Elementary School in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. According to the police report, the car didn’t stop following the incident and was later located at Dennis’ address. It’s unclear whether she was the one driving the car.

When it came time for fan questions at BravoCon’s Southern Charm panel, one asked the group if they’ve had communication with Dennis — who has been in the news lately for the incident —  and whether they want her to come back to the show in the future.

“We would love for her to come back. The door’s always open and I think she’s working on herself and has a lot of work that she has to do before she comes back,” Craig Conover said. “But I hope she’s doing well and I know a lot of people here have recently been in contact with her. I know Austen [Kroll] talks to her as much as he can and other people here.”

Shep Rose chimed in to reiterate the cast’s “love” for Dennis, as well as his hopes for her to “figure her stuff out.”

“Kathryn was 21 when this show started … We’ve grown up in front of you guys,” he told the audience. “We’ve come a long way and you’ve all seen the bumps and bruises and all that stuff and unfortunately, Kathryn stumbles sometimes. We do love her because there’s a person right inside of her that we know is a good person.”

Conover added that his longtime friend “means so well” and that she “wishes she was here” at BravoCon “more than anything.” He also opened up about filming a scene with Dennis for Season 9 — even though she announced her exit from the series earlier this year.

“Kathryn’s an intricate part of this show. Shep and I actually filmed with her this year,” he said. “I don’t think it was supposed to happen but we did it. I think they did it as a favor to us because we love her so much. I hope we get to see it. We probably won’t.”

Southern Charm airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
